FAQ

• Q: In the event of a needle damage or break, are there any recommendations for repair or replacement?
  A: There are two types of needles attached to each container. Feel free to use needles on other containers if you need to use the container urgently. Please let us know if you find any damaged needle when they are delivered. We can send you more needles for free.
• Q: What are the dimensions of the tubing in terms of ID and OD??
  A: 1/4" outside diameter tubing fits for plugging the tube to the purging needle.  
• Q: Does PureAtom have any plans on making larger or longer sample containers?
  A: Yes we do. We can work with customers to make specified containers as needed. If you have any need beyond what we have, please let us know the size you want. We can make a special quote for you.
• Q: For how long are the oxygen indicators in the sample containers effective?
  A: The oxygen indicator works for quite a long time (~ 9 months at least as we tested) and we haven’t identify a true lifetime yet. However, please keep it with the container in the package to keep it pink before using.
• Q: What is the sensitivity of the oxygen indicator? 
  A: The oxygen indicator changes to Pink when O2 level < 0.1%. It changes to blue when O2 level > 0.3%.
• Q: How long will the container last? 
  A: With following the user manual and seal/purge the container correctly, our testing shows that the container should work for at least 6 months. Performance may vary depending on the stored material.
• Q: Each container shipped with a small amount of needle fill tubing. What are the dimensions of the tubing in terms of ID and OD?
  A: The small amount of white plastic piping only serves as an adapter only if you have soft hose with larger ID from the Argon bottle. Feel free to take the small white plastic away and connect your Argon bottle hose to the needle directly. If neither the needle or adapter works, please send us a photo and the dimensions of your hose. We will send you an adapter that works for you.
